April Book Report

I read a record number of books this month, almost doubling my usual goal of one book per week. I enjoyed all the books, except for Hemingway’s. I would appreciate it if someone would help me to understand why it’s such a classic. I’m not being sarcastic. I’d really like to know. Here’s my list:

The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis – I’ve only read three Narnia books, but this has been my favorite so far.

The Old Man and the Sea – Hemingway

The End of the Affair by Graham Greene

The Wednesday Wars by Schmidt – reviewed here.

The Mouse and His Child by Hoban – reviewed here.

Save the Males by Kathleen Parker – reviewed here.

The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins – review forthcoming.

I'm curious what your response(s) to Graham Greene's book was. I have two or three of his titles on my shelf, but haven't read any of him. His name pops up all over, though.
